Ascot Vale II (harmony)
This project had Normark engaged in conjunction with the architect due to the important role the landscaping played in the home. Although the back yard is a small, tight space – the client wanted a lap pool. The lap pool seamlessly connects to the back of the property, becoming the absolute feature when you walk in the front door all the way through to the living room.
We went with a dark pool tile to create a reflective body of water, allowing the boundary trees to further pop.
With a central covered entertaining space, we were mindful of the important role garden would play in softening the space and creating an inviting aspect that separated from the inside experience. Boundary hedging and Virginia creeper climbing up the overhead arbor draw the eye and balance well with the floating BBQ and block seating.
